Job Description

Diversey's Infrastructure Operations Engineer is responsible for leading a team of technical engineers to design and implement nextgen infrastructure technologies while also playing a hands on role within our Global IT Organization. This role also ensures the technical design, stability, and integrity of a highly available network infrastructure to provide maximum performance and up-time. This includes cloud, on premise server infrastructure, LAN, WAN and VOIP.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, define, create and maintain the organization's technical infrastructure within cloud and on premise computing environments
  • Partner with Enterprise Architects and technical teams to design Azure Cloud environments across multiple regions, on premise servers, LAN and Global WAN infrastructure systems
  • Recommend and implement cloud and network technologies driving Diversey's NetGen server and network infrastructure
  • Implement and drive automation in cloud environments to facilitate infrastructure roll outs and lower the total cost of ownership
  • Design and implement flexible, scalable and sustainable infrastructure systems using the latest technologies including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, CCaaS, CaaS, SDWAN and Cisco DMVPN
  • Lead and participate in product evaluations POC's, including but not limited to, planning, engineering, installation, testing, and technical support
  • Serve as point of escalation from tier two/three technical support and provide the highest level of internal expertise in area of responsibility prior to vendor escalation. Partner closely with vendors to solve complex technical problems and issues
  • Provide leadership and technical mentoring by example to the Infrastructure and support teams through cross training and knowledge transfer
  • Identify and leverage integration opportunities at the hardware, software and interface level in order to optimize systems and reduce cost
  • Use experience and process management skills to identify and implement continuous improvement activities via an ITIL approach
  • Deploy, upgrade, maintain, and administer existing network infrastructure including switches, routers, proxy, firewalls, load balancers, SDWAN appliances, VPN, Citrix, Netscalers, and Azure cloud environments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant experience
  • Prior experience in a manager/lead/mentor type role with the ability to influence others and drive change/best practices
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing complex WAN, Cloud and VOIP (CaaS and CCaaS) networks
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in network architecture and deployment and working with Azure cloud environments
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco routers, switches and WAPs
  • Prior working knowledge of:
    • Linux and Windows Operating Systems
    • SDWAN and large SDWAN deployments
    • BGP, EIGRP, SIP, QoS, PBR, PRI
    • Palo Alto and/or Fortigate firewalls
  • Prior hands on experience with large MPLS and SDWAN networks, Cisco DMVPN, HSRP, Load Balancing technologies, ISRs, ASRs, Azure Virtual Routers and WLCs

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Five9's and Fuze phone systems a plus
  • Preferred certifications:
    • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator
    • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
    • Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP)
    • Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
  • Collaborative team player - Should be able to establish solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical contractual aspects to senior leaders and across different cultures
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment - Should be able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Include something flexibility and ambiguity
  • Expert negotiation skills to ensure alignment with annual savings targets
  • Creative thought process that produces innovative solutions to problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical contractual aspects to senior leaders and across different cultures
