What is recruitment fraud, and what should I do if I am targeted?

Recruitment fraud is an elaborate scheme in which fictitious job opportunities are offered to job seekers. This type of fraud is typically carried out through online services, such as false websites, or through unsolicited emails claiming to be from the company. These emails may ask recipients to provide personal information and to make payments as part of the fraud scheme.

Common warning signs of recruitment fraud can be found on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) website - https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/job-scams. If you are contacted by someone you suspect is falsely representing themselves in this manner, please report them immediately. You may notify us at [email protected], or by calling 563-272-7400.

We take this matter seriously and are taking all appropriate measures to address this.
