Description

  • Lead design plans and technical specification production, permit preparation/submittals for water and wastewater projects.
  • Provides planning, design and operational support services for municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Preparation of utility master plans, preliminary engineering evaluations, and other engineering reports.
  • Responsible for managing and mentor staff on multiple, concurrent projects while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • Masters degree in related field preferred but not required.
  • NC Professional Engineer License, or ability to quickly acquire NC PE quickly through reciprocity.
  • 10-20 years of experience in municipal water and wastewater design.
  • Technically competent, a team player and good communications required.
  • Participate in a Professional Engineering Society. Technical committee leadership is a plus.
  • Must provide design management to maintain the health of the project and client satisfaction throughout the life of a project.
  • Must be able to lead a project team, execute self-directed activities, and provide mentoring to staff.
  • Must be able to conduct project team meetings.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
