Haskell is looking for a Project Safety Coordinator in multiple locations across the U.S. This resource will be responsible for managing project specific safety and health issues to ensure protection of Haskell employees, contract partner employees, client personnel, and the general public. Will also evaluate and coordinate project activities to comply with rules, regulations, and policies applicable to project safety.

The Construction Core team supports all of Haskell's delivery groups on projects throughout the United States. C-Core is responsible for providing the field management personnel, starting with the craft worker, to the Project Superintendent. C-Core also provides team members with logistical support, including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. C-Core provides continual training to support team members' development from entry-level craft worker, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Haskell assists team members' ability to work their way up through the ranks, helping them find new ways to use their minds hands to get the job done.

Responsibilities/ Duties:
1. Participates in safety pre-planning and hazard analysis for project with the project superintendent.
2. Initiates and monitors project drug screening procedures.
3. Conducts safety orientation and training process for all employees and contracts partners upon of arrival on site.
4. Conducts all necessary safety training for an assigned project.
5. Participates in the enforcement of The Haskell Company Code of Safe Practice throughout the project.
6. Supports project superintendent in safety efforts. Provides inspection and correction audits to the superintendent on daily basis for his action with employees and contract partners. Maintains follow-up procedures for ensuring all items identified are corrected in a timely fashion.
7. Should hazards classified as imminent danger be identified, stop operations and protect others from the hazard. Contacts project superintendent for immediate correction. Verifies training of those involved in the generation of the hazard.
8. Communicates with the assigned Regional Safety Supervisor (RSS) on all project safety issues. Performs monthly Safety Evaluation Report (SER) with the assistance of the RSS.
9. Participates in pre-construction and subcontractor meetings to discuss/review safety related issues prior to commencement of their work and be aware of project particulars.
10. Conducts weekly safety meetings with all project employees.
11. Enforces safety rules per established disciplinary action guidelines.
12. Maintains required employee training records and all project safety documentation.
13. Administers all record keeping and reporting guidelines as required by regulatory agencies and company policies.
14. Conducts accident investigations and assist project superintendent in the prompt reporting of incident/accident.
15. Inspects and maintains safety equipment.
16. Issues confined space and "hot work" permits as required.
17. Accompanies any (authorized outside entities) personnel on safety inspections.
18. Performs additional assignments per supervisor direction.

Education/Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in the construction industry.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications Etc..:
1. Complete OSHA Course #500 a definite plus.
2. Employee should be able to have a thorough understanding of and the ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations.
3. The ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
5. Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust





Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
