Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Cost Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing costs associated with our company's operations and projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.

Job Requirements

·         Collect and analyze cost data from various sources.

·         Monitor and track costs associated with projects and operations.

·         Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to reduce expenses.

·         Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.

·         Collaborate with stakeholders to understand cost drivers and develop cost models.

·         Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.

·         Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted costs.

·         Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost analysis.

·         Create reports and visualizations stakeholders.

·         Develop and maintain data models and databases.

·         Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.

·         Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, InCorta, or Power BI is a plus.

·         Experience with Project Management Enterprise tools (P6, Cobra, Prism, MSProject, Ecosys) is a plus.

·         Experience with SQL, and Python is a plus.

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Ability to sit

·         Ability to effectively communicate; speaking, reading, understanding, writing and hearing clear English; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location

·         Basic math and computer skills

·         Ability to work inside an office

·         Ability to perform highly repetitive motions with fingers, hands, wrists, and shoulders

·         Ability to work alone, work with others, and interact with the public

·         Ability to perform under deadline pressure

·         Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines

Minimum Qualifications and Years of Experience

Education

·         Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in Business or an equivalent technical degree

 

Certifications

Required Experience

·         A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or related experience required

 

Preferred Experience

·         Previous experience project related is preferred
