Job Responsibilities:

  1. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work.
  2. Participates in design review meetings. Reviews and monitors scope, cost, and constructability during design development. Recommends best solutions based on cost, methods of construction, availability of materials, etc.
  3. Prepare disciplined estimates by calculating complete takeoff and pricing of the electrical scope of work.
  4. Solicit subcontractors and vendors for market pricing.
  5. Perform subcontractor scope evaluations and bid leveling.
  6. Maintain historical cost information of related scope of work.
  7. Review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
  8. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in accredited construction related curriculum plus 5 years of experience; or 8 years of electrical experience in the construction industry.
