Director of Marketing to join our team in Hickory, NC! 

Some of the essential aspects of the position include:

  • Position Summary:

  • Participate in the development of the HBF and HBF Textiles brand vision and strategy. Lead the communication of the brand vision, strategy, products and services through all existing and emerging channels. Ensure the brand vision and strategy is prudently ahead of market influences and trends, and HBF and HBF Textiles is consistently considered a leader in the industry. Decisions are guided by functional strategies and priorities

What it takes:

    • Actively participates in the development of the HBF and HBF Textiles brand vision and strategy.
    • Through strong market connections with leading industry clients and influencers, develops insight on where the industry is evolving; how HBF//HBFTs unique capabilities apply to this evolution; and positions the brand to leverage these opportunities.
    • Leads the planning, designing, development, implementation and communication of strategic initiatives across the organization’s internal and external marketing roles.
    • Develops market objectives and strategies and monitors performance against specific and measurable goals.
    • Directs activities through peers, subordinates and other managers.
    • Direct the brand efforts creating a consistent message and go to market strategy
    • Provides direction for the planning, designing, developing and implementing strategic initiatives related to the organization’s marketing activities.
    • Develops market objectives and strategies and monitors performance against goals.
    • Proactively leads cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement mutually beneficial results.
    • Adapts and executes functional business plans.
    • Recruit and develop marketing staff
    • Execute of relevant programs to support marketing initiatives.
    • Lead creative efforts to produce excellent marketing campaigns and materials
    • Participates in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
    • Oversee company website design and content.
    • Manage marketing budget.
    • Education Required and/or Preferred:

      • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field.
      • Secondary studies in Fine Arts, Interior Design, Industrial Design or Architecture is preferred.
      • A Master’s degree in Business or Marketing is preferred.

       Experience Required and/or Preferred:

    • 6+ years of marketing experience with progressive project level responsibilities.
    • 2+ years at senior manager experience directing strategic initiatives through others.
    • Industry experience, preferred.
    • Skills and Abilities Required and/or Preferred:

      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
      • Advanced knowledge of creative and print production processes and software
      • Basic knowledge of photography and rendering creation and retouching processes
      • Advanced copy editing skills
      • Basic understanding of database taxonomy
      • Basic audio and video production experience.
      • Demonstrated critical thinking ability
      • Strong leadership and management skills
      • Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities
      • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
      • Exceptional attention to detail
      • Travel Requirements:  Up to 30% of the time could be spent in travel of shows, conferences, or customers.
