Elevate Textiles is hiring a full-time Infrastructure Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure Team. This position reports to the Director of Infrastructure and will manage and administer IT infrastructure in the U.S. with an emphasis in the Charlotte NC, Greensboro NC, Mt. Holly NC, and Gastonia NC. This role requires proven experience with Cisco Meraki Full stack, VMware, Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux, UNIX and SAN Storage. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, high character, and exceptional troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and Manage Network Infrastructure solutions in collaboration with Global MSP and Network Support Team.
  • Troubleshoots problems within the network and security infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, proxy servers, Linux, UNIX, and Windows Servers, making corrective break/fix actions when necessary, following documented procedures, and change control guidelines and policies.
  • Deliver advanced technical support, consultation and collaboration with the enterprise network, security and architecture teams including integration and dependencies with voice, video, security, compute and storage platforms including Cisco Nexus, Cisco Meraki Full stack (Firewall, switches and wireless controllers).
  • Implementation and troubleshooting for enterprise IP network, data center, unified communications and cloud related infrastructure, services, network connectivity, IP traffic routing and performance issues to resolution, completely and accurately documenting all work activity in the organizations problem tracking system.
  • Provides deep level subject matter expertise in IP network, IP network security, wide area network, internet and cloud connectivity with an advanced level of support and triage. Develops and delivers Operational documentation and as-built network and cloud documentation.

Education & Experience

  • 4 Year degree or equivalent in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or other technical field
  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience with servers, networks and working in data center environments.
  • 5+ years of experience working with VMware Virtualization and SAN storage devices.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Cisco and Meraki Switches and wireless controllers.
  • Strong knowledge of internet working designs and their applications, to include IP subnetting and complex routing techniques on LAN/WAN networks, Security.
  • Understanding of SDN/SDDC (Software Defined Network or Datacenter - full stack - (compute, storage, network) including experience with Azure.
  • Extensive knowledge of systems, networking, and architecture.
  • Understanding of the OSI model, switching, VPNs, VLANs, WiFi, firewalls, and Azure networks.
  • Relevant Technical Certification preferred (Cisco/Meraki, CCNA, CCNP, CMNA)

  • Experience working as part of a global team and works well across all teams to include security, business intelligence, ERP, and international infrastructure teams.
  • Support repeatable, reliable, and scalable network architectures with fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery.
  • Perform technical test, Proof of concept based on the proposed solution.
  • Maintain landscape diagram related to network services.
  • Liaise with project management to develop project plan and steps.
  • Coordinate with internal and/or external parties on implementing selected solutions.
  • Network configuration and change management (NCCM) to automate changes, reduce network downtime, network device configuration backup & restore and meet compliance.
  • Ensure the network (On-prem & Cloud) related design & solution are utilized and meet the business requirement within a reasonable performance.
  • Comply with the cyber-security requirement to minimize the risk on network infrastructure.
