About this Opportunity

Individuals with assembly skills are responsible for assembling products and/or related parts in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work based on customer demand and lean manufacturing principles to satisfy the customer and to provide high-quality products delivered in a timely manner. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Cross-training in other departments to learn additional functions is required.

Individuals with Machine Operation skills operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move products meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards. Maintains and monitors machinery to ensure proper function. Performs multiple processes using a variety of equipment in a manufacturing setting, dependent upon the department processes. Produces a high-quality product delivered in a timely manner to satisfy customers. Solves problems with the assistance of other team members and seeks continuous improvement. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Required to learn additional functions through cross-training in other departments.

Individuals with Material Handling skills receive, store, and pull raw and finished goods through the facility in a safe, accurate and timely manner, along with the proper part tracking

Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

One of the following is required: (1) a High school diploma, or it's equivalent (GED, for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency.

  • Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.

  • Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.

  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 40 lbs.

  • Required to communicate and to be able to see with or without correction.

Material Handling Skills and Abilities:

  • Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.

  • Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.

  • Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.

  • Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.

  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 60 lbs.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Required to talk and to be able to hear and see with or without correction.

Machine Operation Skills and Abilities:

  • Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.

  • Preferred advanced math skills related to ability to operate advanced systems or processes such as GDT (Geometric Dimensional Tolerances).

  • Ability to use required measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, tape measure, etc.

  • Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.

  • Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment and influence others.

  • Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.

  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Required to talk and to be able to hear and see with or without correction.
