Job Description:The Job/What You'll Do:

Adhesion is seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Product to lead our organization's product strategy and drive innovation. As the Head of Product, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive product roadmap, overseeing the development and enhancement of investment products, and ensuring alignment with market trends and client needs. Your expertise in the investment industry, product management, and leadership will play a critical role in driving growth and profitability for our organization.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate an in-officwork schedule and are close to our Charlotte, NC office.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and execute a strategic product roadmap supported by compelling business cases that align with the organization's goals, market trends, and competitive landscape. Identify market opportunities, assess client needs, and drive the development of innovative investment products.
  • Product Development and Enhancement: Lead the product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment research, portfolio management, technology, and marketing, to deliver high-quality investment products that meet client expectations.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential opportunities for product innovation and differentiation. Stay abreast of regulatory changes impacting the investment industry.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Collaborate closely with client-facing teams to gather client feedback, understand their evolving needs, and incorporate insights into product development and enhancement initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.
  • Product Performance and Analytics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the success and performance of products. Utilize data analytics financial modeling and market insights to evaluate product performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure products adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to mitigate product-related risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and mentorship to the product management team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Build a high-performing team and promote talent development and succession planning.
  • Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement: Represent the organization as a thought leader in the investment industry. Participate in industry conferences, events, and forums to share insights, promote the organization's products, and stay updated on industry best practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and launching investment products that meet market demands and drive business growth. Experience with product innovation and new product development is preferred.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills. Ability to assess market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape to drive product strategies and make informed decisions.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Ability to motivate and inspire teams toward achieving organizational goals.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex investment concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. Advanced degree such as MBA is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience 7-10 years in product management within the investment industry, preferably in a leadership role. Deep understanding of investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, alternative investments, UMA's and SMA's.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
