Essential Functions

Supply Chain and Parts Operations Excellence

  • Advance the organization forward in our supply chain and parts operations performance, with focus on building repeatable and scalable systems which delight our customers, engage our employees, and reward our shareholders.
  • Leverage industry benchmarks and best practices to define and drive the organization towards best-in-class performance for all aspects of the supply chain, including capital efficiency, labor productivity, product availability, and customer experience. This includes the following areas of specific focus:
    • Sales & Operations Planning: Develop a center of excellence to support division-wide S&OP efforts. This includes parts inventory planning and control, prime equipment forecasting, and rental fleet planning.
    • Logistics: Lead parts transportation and warehousing functions, including central and branch inventory, interbranch transfers, customer drop locations, and service centers. This includes evaluating opportunities for system-driven solutions around transportation and warehouse management (TMS & WMS).
    • Procurement: Collaborate with our OEM partners and other suppliers to ensure alignment and synergies that maximize the performance of our collective supply chains, balancing inventory velocity, product availability and customer needs.
  • Lead all aspects of the Parts organization, which includes P&L ownership and direct leadership of the parts organization, including counter, warehouse, inventory management, technical support, and transportation employees.
  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement leader, and across the organization, to lead and support ongoing Lean Transformation efforts across the Parts organization.

Leadership

  • Mentor, coach, and develop best-in-class supply chain and parts operations teams. Direct reports include leaders of the following areas: Supply Chain; Parts Operations; Branch Operations; and Prime Source. Total team of approximately 50 employees.
  • Maintain a working environment in which employees are safe, motivated, well-directed, satisfied, and developed to realize their potential. Utilize an annual employee survey to assess strengths and weaknesses in the working environment and strive to continuously improve.

  • Assure equipment and facilities are maintained, improved, and managed in such a manner as to support excellent operational capability, performance, and reputation.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, logistics, or business management field required. Graduate Degree in Business preferred.
  • Preference for ten plus years of experience in Supply Chain related leadership with experience in a complex high-volume environment in Parts, Warehousing and Distribution, Automation Controls, Merchandise Marking, and partnership with OEM relationships.
  • Previous experience in developing transaction-based, and high-speed warehouse automation systems, programming, and implementation of Logistics systems is preferred.
  • Experienced leadership with Lean Principles; Six Sigma or Lean certification is desired.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and advanced presentation skills.

The noise level in some work environments is occasionally loud.
