Summary

The Weisiger Group is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager with ERP implementation experience to join our ePMO team. Our organization values engagement and partnership, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for building strong relationships with stakeholders and driving successful project outcomes. As a member of the ePMO the Sen. Project Manager is responsible for, though not limited to, plans and processes to achieve project/program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints. Under minimal supervision, this job utilizes general knowledge of the project/business requirements to manage large projects for the organization. The Sen. Project Manager will work across multiple business areas to manage both IT and business-related deliverables. Forms a strong relationship with the business stakeholders, partnering to resolve project related issues, provides project status updates and escalates issues and concerns appropriately. To be successful in this role you must be willing and able to partner with business stakeholders, "roll up your sleeves," and provide value outside of basic project management tasks. Prior project management or change management experience in ERP implementations, with a strong preference to SAP implementations, is required. A strong candidate will have experience in one or more of the following industries: construction, materials handling, heavy equipment, warehousing, or facilities.

Responsibilities include championing project delivery through the project lifecycle, including:

  • Initiation:Development of project charters and business cases for review and approval. Including the identification of high-level requirements, all impacted stakeholder groups, and scope alignment.
  • Execution: Leads project teams in the completion of program / project related tasks.
  • Budget Mgmt.: Manages/tracks actuals and forecasted spend.
  • Scope: Ensures scope is managed and changes follow the PMO change mgmt. protocols.
  • Quality: Gets the details rights. Ensures project deliverables achieve expected outcomes.
  • Risk & Issue Mgmt.: Proactively identify and resolve problems; manage issue/risk processes.
  • Communications: Establish comms plans and ensure all stakeholder are informed /engaged.
  • Change Management:Partners with division business leaders to formally integrate change management best practices and frameworks to ensure sustainability of solution implemented.
  • Facilitation:Able to bring together a group of people to chart out the best possible course for the project to ensure its success.

Essential Functions

  • Organizes project teams by assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements necessary to ensure project is successful.
  • Performs business analysis and develops formal requirements documentation for scope alignment, developing solutions, and determining resources, time and costs.
  • Estimates the costs, resources, and time required to complete each phase of a project and allocates resources and tasks to ensure these targets are met.
  • Implements an established project plan and monitors progress and performance against this plan.
  • Identifies and coordinates workstreams, as well as and orchestrates collaboration across the project team.
  • Monitors the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing.
  • Identifies and resolves obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
  • Conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
  • Coordinates the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Responsible and accountable for delivering large projects on-time, on budget, and meeting functional and quality specifications.
  • Forecasts, manages, and reports on project financials, planned vs actual project schedule, and resource utilization. Understands basic revenue models and cost to completion projections.
  • Identifies resources needed to complete work and collaborates with resource manager(s) to assemble appropriate skills/teams.
  • Manages issues, risks, and changes using appropriate and agreed upon processes and tools established within the ePMO.
  • Provides weekly status reports and can communicate to executive leadership.
  • Assists with defining and leading Change Management associated with a project.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, General Business, Management, or similar studies.
  • Preferred: Degree in Business Administration or Information Technology.
  • Required: Applicant must have 5+ years' experience in leading ERP implementation projects. Experience with SAP implementations is highly preferred.
  • Required: Hands-on experience with Jira and familiarity with S/4 HANA and SAP Activate methodology.
  • Applicant must show experience running multiple projects and programs, both technical and non-technical simultaneously to successful completion.
  • Requires 5+ years in a client or senior stakeholder facing role, with strong communication skills.
  • Applicant should have exposure and experience with Lean, PMI, 6s or Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to drive projects from concept through completion with minimal guidance.
  • Familiarity or experience working with continuous improvement specialists to deliver projects.
  • Preferred experience with construction or heavy equipment industry including service, parts, sales, and rental.
  • Preferred: Industry experience with construction or heavy equipment dealerships.

Certifications / Licenses / Registrations

Preferred for candidate to have one or more of the following certifications:

  • PMI
  • ACP
  • Lean / Six Sigma
  • 6s
  • Prosci

Computer Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel (deep knowledge of formulas and data analysis).
  • Intermediate skills with team productivity tools (SharePoint, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Intermediate skills in process mapping tools (Visio or equivalent)
  • Project Management Tools including Jira
