Position Description

We're looking for a full-time, staff Vice President, Government Operations to join our Day & Zimmermann team.

The VP of Government Operations is responsible for developing and growing D&Z's DOE/Federal business across the US market. This position will be responsible for leading the operations and execution of capital projects and maintenance & operations work in the DOE/Federal markets.

As the Vice President, Government Operations, here's the work you'll do:

* Lead the development and implementation of D&Z's DOE/Federal Government business plan that leverages D&Z's expertise in small to midcap projects ($5M - $25M) and managed task maintenance & operations work in the union building trades labor environment

* Lead and oversee the execution of all projects and maintenance & operations work won in the DOE/Federal Government markets. Build out and develop, with internal and external hires, the DOE/Federal Operations Team

* Partner with Business Development and leverage/maintain existing DOE/Federal relationships with customers, contractors and competimates to startup and grow to a significant D&Z line of business. Perform market research to qualify new business growth opportunities supporting DOE/Federal Government customers, including analysis of customer budgets, capabilities required, current customer preferences, competitive environment assessments, incumbent strengths and weaknesses, and federal requirements to ensure contract wins

* Lead cross-functional teams and oversee the internal collaboration between D&Z departments, business units and the MC/Government Services Joint Venture to support Total Cost Accounting (CAS), proposal development, FAR/DEAR compliance, legal, clearances, and other DOE/Federal requirements

This role is for you if you have these skills:

* Track record of success in developing and implementing strategic plans to enter/grow business in the DOE/Federal markets

* Recent, extensive experience in managing small to midcap capital projects ($5M - $25M) and managed task maintenance & operations work in the DOE/Federal markets, preferably in the Southeast (e.g., Savannah River, Oak Ridge, Y12)

* In-depth knowledge and experience with managing union building trades

* Collaborative leader with ability to pull together cross functional support for strategic and operational initiatives. Familiarity with FAR/DEAR clauses, total cost accounting (CAS) requirements, DOE/Federal proposal development and contracts

* Strong customer, contractor and competimate relationships in the DOE/Federal markets

And if you have these qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business or related fields

* 10-15 years in progressive projects, operations and business development roles in the DOE/Federal markets

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $176,960 - $265,440. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
