ATI is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer for our Reporting and Analytics team to support our Specialty Materials (SM) business unit! This position will be reporting to our Sr. Manager of Digital Technology, and will support reporting needs for SM business unit using tools like OBIEE and Power BI. It will also support the data strategy from our Enterprise Data & Analytics team.

The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across the SM business unit to establish new capabilities, create functional requirements, and support ATI's data evolution. This role will provide technical expertise in successfully delivering digital manufacturing solutions. The BI Developer will establish guidelines and develop standards and common services to support the ATI business unit for the Digital Manufacturing roadmap.

The ideal candidate for the BI Developer role should possess hands-on experience in developing BI Dashboards, creating BI reports, RPD development, metadata, and data structure. They should be an excellent problem solver with a strong analytical mindset and a background in manufacturing. The candidate should also have a proven track record of successful planning and coordination within a matrixed environment, along with exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Performance Objectives:

  • Design, Code, and review for OBIEE reporting - RPD, Webcatalog, BI Publisher.
  • Administration and Migration for OBIEE reporting.
  • Review business requirements and work with subject matter experts to perform impact and/or gap analysis, identify key business intelligence needs, identify new data sources, and perform system analysis to provide optimum reporting and analysis solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and development of data solutions based on business requirements.
  • Assist Technical leads and Extract, Transformation and Load (ETL) developers in mapping and design solutions.
  • Provide technical end-user support, assist in troubleshooting, performance tuning and tool selections as needed
  • Prototyping and analyzing new technology and its adaptability
  • Participating in the testing process to ensure the implemented solution meets the defined requirements and quality standards.
  • Work with the Enterprise Data & Analytics team to establish strategy, including data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data assets, and a data catalog.
  • Provide level 2 and 3 support for the business problems and systems.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related study
  • 4+ years of experience in application and reporting development including the following disciplines: database management, manufacturing operations, and a strong understanding of operations terminology.
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL
  • 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence Development
  • 2+ years of experience developing with the Oracle OBIEE toolset

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
  • Ability to read/write and understand SQL, T-SQL, and review in Oracle and MS SQL Server.
  • Experience in analytical functions in SQL.
  • Experience in data visualization tools like OBIEE dashboards, Reports, and Power BI.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Collaborative skills are necessary for working with cross-functional business teams and end users.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the function and capabilities of new technologies
  • Ability to understand the big picture and align the day-to-day activities to support that picture
  • Ability to estimate time and effort and efficiently manage priorities.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
