Atrium Health's Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute - Cabarrus, part of Atrium Health, is currently seeking an Adult Non-invasive Cardiologist to join their established practice in Concord, NC and provide quality care to the patients we serve in their respective communities. Our team includes 9 general cardiologists at Atrium Cabarrus, and more than 60 general cardiologists in the Sanger practice (spanning a total of 9 hospitals in the greater Charlotte region). Additionally, 5 dedicated general cardiology Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and various other clerical support staff are part of our service.

Qualified candidates should be:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Interested in patient-centered, value-based delivery of CV care in a tertiary care environment.
  • Skilled in echocardiography and transesophageal echo
  • Beneficial if interested in Cardiovascular Critical Care, Cardiac MRI, or Women's cardiology.
  • Interested in both outpatient and inpatient work.
  • Eager to work in a top center in a large, growing city with a high-volume practice

Practice Highlights:

  • The Atrium Cabarrus diagnostic cardiology lab features advanced TTE and TEE imaging, stress echo, and nuclear stress testing. In addition, there is capability for IP and OP cardiac CTA and cardiac MRI.
  • High volume OP clinic practice with large, established referral base
  • Team based care with dedicated general APPs in both OP and IP setting
  • Inpatient cardiovascular care is supported by APPs with 24/7 APP coverage (no in-house call)
  • Academic appointment available at Wake Forest University Medical School, Charlotte

About the practice:

  • Atrium Cabarrus is a 457-bed facility located in Concord, NC with easy access to Uptown Charlotte shopping, restaurants and other amenities along with easy access to recreation at Lake Norman
  • Campus features a new, state-of-the-art, three-floor heart and vascular tower, housing all procedural areas of cardiology, as well as inpatient floor, general cardiology floor, step-down unit, and cardiac ICU, just completed in 2019.
  • There are 16 adult cardiologists and 20 cardiology APPs at this practice including specialists in coronary and structural interventions, advanced heart failure, imaging, and electrophysiology. Well established, robust cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery programs.
