Primary Responsibilities

In the role of BIM Piping Designer, we'll count on you to:

• Model mechanical piping system layouts and perform elementary mechanical design of piping systems for water / wastewater, utility, industrial, and institutional power and energy facilities
• Prepare piping diagrams, composite piping plans, equipment arrangements, piping isometrics, and other detailed drawings required for fabrication and construction under the supervision of a Process Designer or Engineer
• Route piping in 3D using Revit software
• Prepare and manage the construction drawings (plans, sections, isometrics, details) for the for the process design through the project's life cycle in Revit
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Microsoft Office, AutoCAD
• Comprehensive understanding of piping systems
• Strong computer skills utilizing Revit software.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Organized and attentive to detail
• Active interest in learning the engineering disciplines assigned and growing into a senior designer.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a Technology program or combination of education and relevant experience preferred
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred
• Piping design/drafting experience preferred
• Other compatible piping design programs is a plus such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Plant 3D preferred
• Local candidates preferred
