HDR is looking for a BIM Model Manager in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC. This individual will work closely with project managers and multi-discipline design teams. They will be responsible for leading the coordination of models and construction documents related to water/wastewater, federal, and industrial clients. They will be required to coordinate the quality control and assembly of full sets of construction drawings from BIM models. They should have a strong understanding of design concepts including building modeling and process equipment and piping layouts. Additional duties may include planning and guiding the production of BIM models, model development, and coordinating with element authors to ensure compliance with project requirements. They must be proficient in Revit, possess strong communication and coordination skills, and be self-motivated and detail oriented, with an initiative to facilitate and deliver high quality, technically excellent designs.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years drafting experience on buildings/facilities
  • Requires extensive knowledge of BIM, design development, construction documents, technical and engineering knowledge
  • Ability to prepare drawings and details
  • Strong computer skills using Revit
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Revit proficiency
  • Experience in BIM production (either building modeling or process piping modeling)
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to train and work with BIM production staff to produce quality design models
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree related to BIM/drawing production preferred
  • Navisworks experience preferred
  • Local candidates are preferred
