ATI is looking for a Director, SIOP for the Specialty Materials Business Unit. This position is located in Monroe, NC.

As a Director, SIOP you will be responsible for leading the SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operation Planning) process for ATI Specialty Materials Business unit. This includes the team accountable for capacity planning model development, supporting development of the monthly / annual / 5-year shipment forecast, and leading the monthly SOP cadence and development. This role will drive evaluation of demand opportunities, execution of levers to increase velocity, and in process inventory management. The role will report to the Sr. Director of Supply Chain and will partner closely with other areas of the business to improve capacity planning, scheduling tools and SIOP processes.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional leadership to our SOP / Capacity Planning team.
  • Establish departmental goals and objectives to meet strategic ATI business plans, performance management, continuous improvement, policy adherence, managing departmental budget and team development.
  • Owns the development of capacity planning models and systems to support evaluation of current commercial and future demand relative to available capacity and lead times. Includes developing relationships and working closely with all business units to understand levers and maximize velocity and volume opportunities.
  • Drives the SOP process cadence and output with Technical, Operations, Commercial and Supply Chain departments.
  • Accountable to identify strategic flow opportunities/challenges and support executing improvements to increase volume.
  • Partner with Supply Chain / Production Planning to develop monthly and quarterly shipment forecasts and improving tools to support.
  • Support DT, Production Planning and Data Analytics to evaluate, develop and implement scheduling tools to provide visibility necessary to have world class flow in the business.
  • Support monitoring performance of constraint points, providing oversight and options to meet objectives.
  • Sponsor and collaborate with cross functional teams at all levels of the organization to ensure cost, quality, production and safety risks with improvements are fully assessed and mitigated.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a highly analytical supply/demand planning (S&OP) environment, demand planning, supply planning, new products introduction, material planning and S&OP process
  • 3 years' experience facilitating the demand and supply elements of SI&OP.
  • 5 years' experience in leadership roles
  • Experience using Six Sigma and LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodology.
  • Experienced developing and implementing SOP/SIOP processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in supply chain management in aerospace metals (Titanium, and Nickel).
  • Experience with strategic and long-term production planning, inventory optimization, continuous improvement and project management
  • Certification in "Supply Chain Management"
  • APICS - CPIM and/or CSCM and/or REFA industrial engineering and/or similar.
  • Experience working in a high growth environment.
  • Demonstrated implementation of process driven culture in similar environment.
  • Experience in motivating and accomplishing work through others in a matrix environment.
