Develop and execute a holistic strategy to establish and operationalize a centralized company-wide procurement and sourcing team focused on procuring goods, services, and other resources. Build a customer-focused, service-oriented, and business aligned team adding value to the overall organization through strategic indirect procurement initiatives. Direct strategic leadership of approximately $900M of Company resources.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop the vison and strategy for indirect procurement across the enterprise including supply chain strategies and metrics for indirect goods.
  • Collaborates with executive leaders, functions, and businesses as needed to champion enterprise wide cross-functional sourcing and procurement initiatives.
  • Provides strategic leadership and approves the planning process and recommends sourcing solutions, channels for distribution and execution of best practices for all indirect categories.
  • Plans, develops, directs, and implements complex business strategies through the establishment of short/long-range objectives, change management, performance goals and metrics for each spend category.
  • Creates collaborative business plans with strategic vendors, develops negotiating strategies and directs the execution of strategic programs.
  • Ensures all goods and services meet established standards and legal requirements.
  • Oversees and/or participates in complex negotiations with key suppliers.
  • Leads a team who addresses business unit concerns / issues and requests, resolving within legal/tax and corporate guidelines.
  • Assures the appropriate use of capital and financial resources, with a total cost of ownership framework.
  • Directs and executes enterprise-wide budgetary cost reduction programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborates with executive stakeholders for resource allocation, budgetary control, staff development and sets enterprise-wide sourcing plans.
  • Consults and advises business senior leadership teams/executives on the impact of procurement activities.
  • Applies analytics to enable optimized cost savings and ensures an adequate supply chain supply.
  • Establishes enterprise-wide inventory/replenishment metrics and builds logistical solutions.
  • Develops risk mitigation strategies for key indirect goods across the enterprise.
  • Leads benchmarking, financial and business analytics for long range pricing and buy rationalizations.
  • Leads and develops procurement and sourcing team into a mature industry-leading department on negotiations, financial reviews, change management, contract reviews inventory control, business analytics and general management.
  • Provides continuous leadership to business units to assist in the achievement of their goals and the overall corporate strategies/targets.
  • Leads strategy, implementation, management and development of consistent departmental sourcing activities and source-to-pay software systems.
  • Directs the development of policies/procedures to ensure goods and services are available to business units.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or a related field.
  • 10+ years' experience in the field of purchasing and procurement.
  • 5+ years' experience leading a procurement and/or sourcing team.
  • Decision maker and subject matter expert for risk management allowances, terms/conditions, pricing, transportation, and quality control/acceptance.
  • Strong project management skills, strong decision-making ability, strong critical thinking skills, and solid analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to advocate for and present recommendations to executive teams.
  • Strong analytic and financial acumen. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, and P&L experience.
  • Ability to drive outcomes, react to and eliminate roadblocks to achieve appropriate outcomes.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office environment.
  • Moderate travel required.
