Position: Customer Project Specialist
Location: Wadesboro, NC
Position Overview: We are seeking a Customer Project Specialist at our Wadesboro, NC facility who would be responsible for managing customer orders through our factory/cross functional processes, date management, on time delivery and all customer communications. Ensure commercial activities align with factory and corporate commercial policies and SOPs/procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive orders at order entry, ensure documentation is complete (i.e. Pricing, drawings, customer expectations, non-standard or unusual items) and are identified. Resolve any conflicts within the operations team (planning, engineering & production) and customer support.
  • Manage orders through the engineering approval process while managing customer expectations of timing and capturing change orders.
  • Drive releases for manufacturing from our field teams through the engineering release process, master scheduling, date management and communication to customers. Including customer contractual obligations.
  • Ensure all pricing activities are in line with quotation/change orders and document in internal systems.
  • Coordinate with production and shipping on customer shipping requirements.
  • Ensure resolution of all customer issues for the duration of the project.
  • Manage post sales service regarding warranty issues.
  • Compile, analyze and report on key metrics; develop action plans for issues and help implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system to extract data for review and report creation.
  • Engage and drive process/tool improvements cross functionally.
  • Collaborate in a team environment to accomplish team tasks and objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
  • Self-starter who will be required to work independently
  • Proficient with MS office, Teams, Excel
  • Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt) or Lean Certification desired
  • Three years' experience working in an ISO9001 QMS compliant environment desired
  • Experience working within a manufacturing facility preferred
  • Experience working with MRP system
  • Basic understanding of project management processes
  • Effective use of data to drive effective improvement activities
  • Knowledge and/or use of project management software preferred
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of customer service experience required, experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
  • 1+ years of experience in project management or data analysis preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically for training
