Clariant Louisville, KY is the site of our North American Catalyst operations. You will have an opportunity to work with one the most experienced maintenance teams in our industry. You will supervise and manage the maintenance technicians for the Louisville South Plant site in executing all routine, special maintenance, and minor project work. This position ensures the availability of safe, responsible, high-quality maintenance and contracting services to the operating plants and administrative departments.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise maintenance technicians in the completion of preventative, reactive, & project work orders
- Manage and assign work orders as required by priority and schedule, at minimum cost and highest schedule adherence
- You will perform review of work requests, field walk downs, material requisitions, and contractor coordination
- Responsible for audit work methods, provide guidance and training for employees
- You will assist the maintenance team as required during vacation, illness, shutdowns, and project work e.g. Plan/Schedule
- Monitor and control direct controllable costs within budgetary limits. Also monitor the workload of the maintenance technicians, assure full workload of hours & minimize overtime
- Responsible for approving timecards of the maintenance technicians
- Prepare reports and maintain records as are required in the performance of their duties
- Implement identified key improvement levers and support CLNX initiatives.
Implement maintenance process improvements to increase overall maintenance effectiveness and efficiency
- Closely coordinate with Production Gatekeeper to minimize delays from permits and equipment availability
- You will support site safety and environmental objectives
- Ensure adherence with Safety standards and Clariant ESHA guidelines
- Direct and insist on safe work practices with a goal of zero recordable injuries
- Complete Management of Change reviews and approve workflows
Requirements
- You should have a High School Diploma or GED and Post-secondary Trade School or Technical college education
- This position requires 5 years of experience in related industry/related functional area management. Manufacturing environment experience with experience within the Chemical manufacturing a major plus.
- Prior experience supervising or leading a maintenance team is highly preferred.
- Must be results oriented, decisive, and exhibit good relationship building skills in a professional environment
- Seeking diverse maintenance analysis knowledge, with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Should be skilled with hands on ability, may be called on to assist in complex situations.

- CMMS proficiency with SAP PM preferred
- Experience with continuous improvement (e.g. lean six-sigma, 5S), Project Management, Kronos, and Microsoft Office products. Highly preferred.
