ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Visually inspect machine for loose or broken parts, then turn machine over by hand, making sure machine will turn over freely before starting machine.
• Start-up the wrapping machine with proper setting.
• Load and thread proper wrapping material as indicated on production schedule.
• Work with others to ensure machine is continually supplied with candy & supplies in order to meet production target.
• Check quality of wrap every 5 to 10 minutes to monitor correct cut-off lengths of wrapping material.
• Have full operational knowledge of wrapping machine and be able to adjust minor mechanical faults.
• Report mechanical problems to Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Keep accurate records of production/downtime on machine.
• Follow SCN Bestco's LOTO Policy and procedures to ensure that machines or equipment are isolated from all potentially hazardous energy before performing cleaning, service or maintenance activities where they may be an unexpected energization, start-up, or release of stored energy.
• Keep area clean and tidy.
• Ability to relieve all wrapping machine operators

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months Machine operator experience outside of SCN BestCo Inc. or 3 months of machine operator experience at SCN BestCo Inc. or Certified Production Technician through NCMI
• Willing and able to clean and sanitize machines
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
• Must be open to work any shift that is necessary depending on the business needs
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Basic computer knowledge (must be able to log on and complete required cGMP SOP training and email

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ year Machine operator experience,
• In the pharmaceutical industry
• Prior Manufacturing experience
• FDA experience
• Certified Production Technician through NCMI
