About our facility in Monroe, NC An ISO 9001-approved quality management system oversees production of high performance industrial three-screw pumps and three-screw pumps for Naval combat and support ships. This plant includes research and development. A fabrication facility is an integral part of the operation and uses qualified welders and weld procedures.

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

This role will serve as a facilitator of the CIRCOR Operating System (COS) to support sustainable continuous improvement across our business operations. It will work with cross functional teams to drive improvement targets and annual business objectives while serving as a key resource for educating associates and building their continuous improvement capabilities.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Facilitates turnback analysis (waste elimination and yield improvement) and cell throughput improvement plans.
  • Participates in internal audit program
  • Spends time on the floor to gather information on stops- centerlines and changeovers over the past 24 hours.
  • Investigates initial root cause of top turnbacks.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
  • Assist in the implementation of the COS program and acts as trainer of new associates.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifts to work with employees from all shifts as required.
  • Capable of learning intermediate Microsoft Excel- Microsoft Power Point- Microsoft Word- QI Macros - MiniTab
  • Strong planning/organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and write Work Instructions and SOPs
  • Can effectively lead RCFA events.
  • Flexibility to adjust shift schedule to work with employees on other shifts as required.
  • Willingness to become Centerline Management System qualified within one month.
  • Willingness to become Green Belt qualified within one year.
  • Works overtime as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives, business plan deployment, and strategic goal & objective creation to ensure high impact opportunities for lean processes are identified
  • Lead project teams and executes projects aligned to critical business priorities
  • Facilitate & lead Kaizen events using the CIRCOR Operating System (COS)
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement of CIRCOR Operating System (COS)/ CI principles, tools, and practices
  • Promote a Continuous Learning environment.

  • Accumulate knowledge of operation of all processes- including start-ups- set-ups- changeovers and maintenance operating adjustments and troubleshooting

Education

  • B.S. / B.A. degree (Engineering or Technical preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Green Belt certification required
