Job Description

General Summary:

The Technical Project Engineer - Core is responsible for the design and management of complex and premier project with our clients and provide pre- and post-sales technical support for audio and video installations.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively work with the Account Management team to ensure that the specification meets the client's requirements, facilitating site surveys, working from plans as required, and specifying products as necessary.
  • Provide quotes, comprehensive AutoCAD drawings, line diagrams, Scope of Work as well as basic DSP programming (when necessary) in respect of installations and to liaise with the installer to ensure that the work is carried out to the client's total satisfaction and in accordance with Mood Media's SLA's.
  • May assist in project discovery, surveys and project management.
  • Help evaluate new products for use on current and future projects.
  • Provides ongoing support for completed projects internally and direct to the client.
  • Supports and develops colleague's knowledge within same office and wider global teams.
  • Works with global teams developing solutions, generating accurate costings, and gathering information for key clients.
  • Set up and maintain client A/V engineering files and documentation for assigned accounts. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Build and help maintain quote templates and pricing.
  • Create and maintain AutoCAD proto drawings, install manuals & DSP programs (when applicable).
  • Engage Sales Team as needed with new brands/design changes.
  • Provide assistance and support for Sales Team with developing prototypes for any new brands or client directed design changes as needed.
  • Attend recurring client calls
  • Provide technical support and direction to PMs, PCs, and Dispatch with equipment, system designs, pricing, alternate parts and general questions.
  • Provide technical support to installers as needed.
  • Handle design/installation escalation concerns about specific jobs.
  • Assist with RFP pricing.
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Degree in Engineering is preferred; 3-5 years of industry or associated industry experience such as AV experience is required
  • CTS Certification preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent audio/visual product knowledge with experience in specifying and installing this equipment.
  • Experience with global project deployment and support preferred.
  • Basic IT knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate scheduled deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • AutoCAD experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision and multitask through change
