Job Description

The Director of Maintenance is pivotal in driving operational excellence across all plant locations, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency. This role encompasses leading capital projects, enhancing equipment reliability, and fostering a zero-injury workplace through innovative maintenance strategies.

This role offers the unique opportunity to spearhead transformative initiatives in maintenance and reliability across a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the maintenance culture, driving sustainability, and contributing significantly to the company's bottom line, all while leading a team of dedicated maintenance professionals.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the maintenance and repair budget, ensuring alignment with approved financial plans and investigating any variances.
  • Lead and inspire a maintenance team to achieve business objectives safely and effectively, with a focus on enhancing equipment reliability.
  • Implement initiatives to remove safety hazards, aiming for a zero-injury workplace.
  • Contribute to environmental compliance and improvements through engineering solutions and daily practices.
  • Collaborate with external partners to adopt advanced maintenance management practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Formulate and execute maintenance strategies, including preventive maintenance and equipment reliability enhancement.
  • Guide the development and performance management of Maintenance Leaders to meet organizational goals.
  • Oversee capital projects and significant maintenance activities within the maintenance department.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in maintenance or a related field, with demonstrated problem-solving skills in complex mechanical and electrical systems.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn additional software.
  • In-depth understanding of the company's products, goals, and operational processes.
  • Expertise in maintenance planning and tracking systems, with experience in Oracle Maximo considered a plus.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment, lead teams effectively, and drive long-term solutions using continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
