Job Description
Vaco Charlotte is recruiting for a Financial Analyst for a manufacturing company located in South Charlotte.

Position Overview: As a Financial Analyst,you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and providing strategic insights to support key business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and a deep understanding of P&L management within the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities:

  1. P&L Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough analysis of the company's Profit and Loss statements, identifying key trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to understand and validate assumptions.
    • Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted and forecasted figures, providing timely and insightful variance analysis.
  3. Financial Modeling:

    • Build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
    • Analyze the financial impact of proposed business decisions and investments.
  4. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.
    • Present financial results and insights to key stakeholders, providing meaningful commentary and actionable recommendations.
  5. Cost Analysis:

    • Conduct detailed cost analysis to optimize operational efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Collaborate with operations teams to develop and implement cost control measures.
  6. Ad Hoc Analysis:

    • Undertake ad hoc financial analysis projects as required by senior management, providing decision support on special initiatives and projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • 2-6 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • In-depth knowledge of P&L management and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
