Mission Details

Health and Safety of the plant and people

Maximize plant uptime

Optimize maintenance spend.

Using planned and rectification maintenance procedures ensure the safe and efficient availability of plant and equipment. This may be cementitious storage, transfer, mixing and packing plant etc. This is to exacting quality, safety, efficiency and time-constrained deadline requirements.

Record any actions using the recording systems provided

Train production department members to safely undertake routine preventative actions on their respective equipment in line with Bostik guidelines.

Ensure all work activities comply with external and Company quality procedures and other methodologies as required.

Participate fully in the on-going process of self-development through knowledge and skill acquisition.

Understand and operate safe systems of work as charged by Company and Statutory requirements.

Understand and comply with emergency response procedures and maintenance call-out as appropriate.

Actively contribute to on-going product and process improvements.

Required Profile

To provide a comprehensive, timely and effective mechanical/electrical maintenance service to the Production Departments and the site. Through planned maintenance programmes and breakdown databases the Engineer maximises the availability of plant and machinery ensuring manufacturing operations are inherently safe.

HNC/HND electrical/mechanical qualifications or equivalent (time served apprenticeship)

Strong work ethic and organisational skills

PC literate in Microsoft packages. (word, excel)

Able to multi-task in a fast-paced factory environment

Have experience of working to planned preventative maintenance programmes as well as rapid response breakdowns, electro-mechanical machinery including hydraulics and pneumatics and working on process equipment and therefore able to work to isometric drawings.

Good communicator at all levels within the business.
