Job Description

Project Management:

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and teamwork throughout the innovation project lifecycle, nurturing an environment where ideas flourish.

  • Work alongside teams to develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring everyone feels supported and empowered.

  • Foster connections with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to facilitate smooth project execution, nurturing relationships built on trust and mutual respect.

Innovation Strategy:

  • Encourage alignment of innovation projects with overall business strategy and objectives, fostering open dialogue and collaboration with R&D, marketing, and sales teams.

  • Support the execution of innovation projects in line with established strategic priorities and market insights, ensuring resources are allocated thoughtfully to maximize impact.

  • Incorporate Design for Lean Six Sigma methodology to ensure that innovation efforts are guided by a structured approach focused on customer needs, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Risk Management:

  • Proactively identify and address risks that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality standards, nurturing a sense of resilience and adaptability within the team.

  • Create a supportive environment where team members feel comfortable sharing concerns and ideas for mitigation, nurturing a culture of openness and transparency.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and quality assurance protocols throughout the innovation process.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Cultivate open lines of communication to keep stakeholders informed about project status, progress, and key insights, promoting an atmosphere of collaboration and trust.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and alignment to ensure effective decision-making and problem-solving, in an environment where everyone's voice is heard and valued.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Establish a comfortable environment where team members feel empowered to set clear metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of innovation projects.

  • Encourage ongoing monitoring of project performance against targets and objectives, creating a culture of continuous improvement and celebration of achievements.

  • Lead post-launch evaluations with a focus on capturing lessons learned and fostering a growth mindset for future innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration) required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience 5 years in project management, preferably within the chemicals or cleaning solutions industry.

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex innovation projects from concept to commercialization.

  • Strong understanding of product development processes, including formulation, testing, and scale-up.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with a nurturing approach to building relationships and fostering teamwork.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights and data into actionable strategies and decisions.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., SmartSheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) preferred.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to the chemicals or cleaning solutions industry is a plus.
