While reporting to the Associate Director, Controllership, as the BU Controllership Senior Accountant, you will be a key member of the Business Unit Controllership team and have primary responsibilities for performing all Controllership related activities. This includes but is not limited to maintaining, managing, and analyzing financial statements; ensuring compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP / local GAAP), company policies, and regulations and providing comprehensive financial updates to the BU Controller by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points. In this role, you will support the Flexibles Packaging BU.

What you'll be doing:

  • Record to Report (e.g., General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Variance Analysis)
  • Procure to Pay
  • Order to Cash
  • Balance sheet review & reconciliations
  • Inventory / Cost Accounting
  • External/Internal Audits
  • Supplemental reporting in support of public filings

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare financial reports of the BU, including monthly, quarterly, and annualfinancial statements.
  • Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform processes including, but not limited to: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,General Ledger (e.g., prepare and review manual journal entries, reconciling accounts, andpreparing financial statements), fixed assets, and necessary support for treasury andtax/trade compliance including variance analysis.
  • General support for the close process
  • Process improvement and standardization including identification of automation opportunities.

Cost Management

  • Verify the reported costs associated with the BU, analyze cost trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support the partnerships with other functions to ensure that expenses are aligned withoverall business strategy.
  • Internal Controls

  • Ensure the internal control systems within the BU are effective and compliant with companypolicies and regulations.

Technical

  • Deep understanding of financialaccounting rules and policy, and ability toimplement internal controls to ensure compliance at the highest levels.
  • Domain expertise in local accounting laws, policies, bestpractices, and compliance
  • Ability to complete routine accounting activities with a strongattention to detail.
  • Ability to develop detailed accounting deliverables.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Comfortable with large ERP systems (Oracle) and financial reporting systems (OneStream)

  • Able to manage deliverables independently as well as perform under pressure.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional team environment across multiple levels of management.

This position can be performed at either our Corporate Headquarters in beautiful Hartsville, SC or our Charlotte, NC location. We are close to exciting destinations (Myrtle Beach, SC Charleston, SC, and Columbia, SC.)

COMPENSATION:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $108,900 to $130,680, plus annual target incentive of 7.5% of base salary.
