Position Description

We're looking for a full-time, staff Regional Safety Manager to join our Day & Zimmermann team.

Responsible for providing management and direction to site EHS professionals and D&Z operations leadership in integrating EH&S processes at D&Z customer and government project sites. Implement EH&S programs, processes, communications and metrics to achieve and sustain world class performance at the government site level. This includes oversight of all case management for injuries, corrective actions and functioning as a business partner with operations. This position will also oversee D&Z metrics at ~10 units and utility level and function as a liason, represnting D&Z to our customers. Periodically this position will oversee or perform audits, common cause analysis, assist with the development and implementation of corrective actions. As needed, this postion may develop and deliver training.

As the Regional Safety Manager, here's the work you'll do:

* Manage and develop field support EHS teams on government controlled contracts

* Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships supporting DZMC and customer initiatives

* Responsible for the development and execution of a world-class safety organization based on alignment of programs, processes, metrics and communications. This includes initiating continuous improvement EH&S initiatives and enhancing EH&S processes and IT systems

* Partner with operations to validate full compliance of D&Z Government project sites with all applicable D&Z processes and procedures, local, state and federal standards and regulations and industry best practices

* Provide EH&S related training at jobsites and corporate locations as required

* Capable of writing, and reviewing EM 385-1-1 Accident Prevention Plans, Activity Hazard Analysis, etc. Working with Project Managers along with Contracting Officers on a daily basis

This role is for you if you have these skills:

* Prior experience and success in a supervisory EH&S leadership role with oversight at the government level, and previous safety experience with DOD, DOE, and other government facilities

* Team leadership and development experience

* Capable of writing, and reviewing EM 385-1-1 Accident Prevention Plans, Activity Hazard Analysis, etc. Working with Project Managers along with Contracting Officers on a daily basis. Hold a current EM 385-1-1 training card. Capable of becoming badged on DOD, DOE Government Facilities. Enviromental EPA knowledge in wastewater, stormwater, clean air act, etc.

* High degree of professionalism and business acumen with the ability to interface and develop strong internal and external relationships with senior management and executive leadership

* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and platform speaking skills)

And if you have these qualifications:

* Preferred college degree in relevant field or equivalent experience

* Minimum of 10 years hands on experience working with Government contracts, DOD, DOE, AFCEC.

* Proven record of successful Government Contract Management in Safety

* Minimum of 10 years managing an EH&S program/organization for a similar size company (preferably in a related government environment) with demonstrated promotability

* Industry recognized EHS related certifications such as CHST, OHST; CSP or ASP in progress desirable andcurrent 385-1-1 certification

* Process & Industrial, Construction Industry experience or Environmental Program Management experience also desirable

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $124,080 - $186,120. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
