About our group:

The Site Facilities Team in Fremont is part of the Workplace Services group, which also includes Non-Operations Global Facilities, Global Real Estate and Global Environmental, Health and Safety. Facilities is responsible for all facets of running a site, including projects, space management, maintenance and services. As a Facilities Manager you will be directly responsible managing all of the employee services at the Fremont site, which will often include working closely with employees, contractors, and other key departments within Seagate to include Security, IT, HR and EHS.

About the role - you will:

  • Manage the onsite Facilities staff to ensure department goals are met and excellent customer service is provided
  • Collaborate with EHS, Security, HR and IT for on-site support, projects, compliance, checklists, and day-to-day operations
  • Oversee site planning, building allocation, staffing, budgeting, and managing expense priorities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and "best practice" examples to site staff to promote internal and cross functional team work, training, assessment and recognition
  • Support on-site facilities team members to develop proactive approaches to monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring contract compliance, identify and recommend actions and process changes, and ensure all required policies and procedures are adopted and utilized
  • Coordinate work to manage General Contractors, Architects, Subcontractors, Trade Workers (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing)
  • Will review contract documentation (Construction Service Agreement, Statement of Work, Basis of Design) and manage supplier proposals, deliverables, supplier performance, invoices, track to closure
  • Track projects, analyze data, keep project sponsors and stakeholders informed via reports, presentations and/or other communication of timelines, issues, and risks
  • Prepare and management the budget through various accounting spreadsheets
  • Lead the site Business Continuity program

About you:

  • Excellent customer service skills and are service oriented
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including highly effective negotiation skills is required
  • Ability to build rapport, build constructive and effective relationships using diplomacy and tact

Your experience includes:

  • Strong, relevant facilities experience
  • Managed services with intense focus on the customer service experience is a must
  • Directing others and/or managing projects/programs
  • Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience

You might also have:

  • Comprehension of city and regulatory agency permit process
