Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Legal Practice Assistant to support its Trademark team in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will have five or more years of experience filing trademark applications with the USPTO and working in a law firm setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide practice-related support to attorneys and professionals within the Trademark team;
  • Calendar and monitor filing deadlines for all U.S. and international trademark applications;
  • Prepare, coordinate, and file trademark applications with the USPTO;
  • Maintain a close working relationship with outside counsel and foreign agents/associates to prepare and file formal documents for U.S. and international filings;
  • Ensure legal documents are processed and handled in a timely and efficient manner in order to comply with appropriate USPTO regulations and deadlines;
  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents.
  • Administrative duties may include preparing expense reports, schedule meetings, manage calendars/daily docket, maintain databases, make travel arrangements, and other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ideal candidate will have five or more years of trademark experience.
  • Must be proactive, dedicated, positive and energetic
  • Experience handling large portfolios, trademark docketing and reporting systems (CPi or similar software) strongly preferred
  • Fluent with SAEGIS, PTO TEAS System, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong computer skills
  • Resourceful and creative self-starter
  • Balance competing active deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Articulate with excellent communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Domain name and Advertising review experience a plus.

COMPENSATION: $52,500-96,800 is the estimated salary range for this role in Los Angeles, California.
