The Vomela Transportation Group has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This position will be responsible for providing supervision and direction to department staff. Function as a technical expert who supervises the daily operations in the department and addresses issues as they pertain to trouble shooting, quality control, production scheduling, training, equipment maintenance and general daily supervision of department.

Key Responsibilities

* Confirm product, quality, and count according to instructions on Job Traveler. Make certain sub-packaging is done according to customer requirements and package products as required

* Prepare and meet daily schedules by providing daily work direction for several employees

* Produce picking and packing lists adhering to scheduled ship dates

* Inform customer service if there is a problem with quantities, quality, or delivery dates

* Call proper carriers to pick up cargo ready for shipment

* Receive and document all incoming products

* Manage finished goods inventories, maintaining accurate records, and prepare and participate in inventory counts

* Ensure parts are inspected and received in a timely manner

* Receives in stock items and overs from produce and ship

* Receipts of purchase orders from Graphic Connection then ships the customer order linked to the purchase order ensuring items are transferred to BHCO

* Ships paid stock when needed

Requirements

* High school diploma or GED required

* Prior shipping experience desired

* Prior supervisory experience

* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

* Computer skills including ERP systems and Microsoft Office

* Know and understand UPS, UPS Worldship, Fed Ex and local regulations, etc, that govern transportation of our products

* Experience with international shipments is desirable

* Know how to use all the pertinent packaging tools and supplies including label printing

* Prior experience with shipping, receiving or inventory computer software

* Know "ship and backorder" procedures

* Be a licensed forklift driver
