Your day to day:

  • Responsible for arranging shipping and receiving activities for domestic and international orders.
  • Prepare domestic and export shipping documents.
  • Coordinate hazardous material shipments in accordance with DOT and IATA (Air), IMDG (Ocean) laws and regulations.
  • Perform carton and container labeling in accordance with site and customer requirements.
  • Obtain USDS packaging certifications and EU Wood regulations certificates.
  • Plan shipping and loading arrangements to maximize utilization of containers, trucking and minimize costs.
  • Ensure all shipments are following Westinghouse export compliance manual.
  • Ensure export licenses are in place for international shipments.
  • Manage Custom issues or other problems that may occur at the port or during shipment.
  • Work directly with Trade Compliance and Customs Brokers to get export shipments pickups arranged and delivered.
  • Complete AES direct filings for export shipments on US Customs and Border Protection website.
  • Work with brokers and or online programs to arrange domestic material movements, for FTL, LTL, and small package shipments.
  • Maintain current knowledge of international shipping and compliance rules and regulations.
  • Perform receiving of incoming materials in SAP and Ariba systems, provide resolution of receiving discrepancies.
  • Perform Goods Issues from SAP MRO Storerooms, stocking parts, cycle counts and audit compliance in accordance with WEC Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 procedures.
  • Work with Supply chain management and plant maintenance representative on inbound and outbound equipment and part inventory.
  • Revise SRS Procedures as required.

Who you are:

  • BS Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation or Business Administration Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience
  • Good coordination, organizational abilities and good time management.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Familiar with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements as they apply to logistics.
  • Good computer skills with and a working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word, internet applicable applications.
  • Able to complete Hazmat certification courses, 49 CFR, IATA (Air) and IMDG (Ocean).
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
