Position Summary

Research and analyze legislation and create and maintain up-to-date materials for internal and external stakeholders in support of government relations goals, objectives, and activities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in support of government relations goals and activities
  • Create and maintain up-to-date materials for external engagement with key policymakers and stakeholders
  • Create and maintain up-to-date materials for engagement with internal stakeholders
  • Provide high quality professional day-to-day execution ofgovernment relationstasks and projects
  • Participate in the development ofgovernment relationsplans and activities
  • Provide summaries of external stakeholder meetings
  • Interact with other departments to help ensure that the information flow to thegovernment relationsteam is efficient
  • Meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the highest of ethical standards and professionalism
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and situations
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate student with at least one year of university studies prior to internship
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited university for the semester before and immediately following the internship
  • Must be available part-time (15-20hours/week)during the Fall months, from the period of August 2, 2021 through December 10, 2021
  • A major in Government, Political Science, Policy, Civics, Healthcare, Communication or Legal is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Competent analytical and organizational skills
  • A collaborative team player
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and growth driven

Preferred Qualifications
